Art in sand. Not a child's game any more!

This just came in by email.

According to mcgrans those are from the Annual Sandcastle Competition (May 12 ,2006) at Harrison Hot Springs in British Columbia, Canada.

I don't have any idea who the artist is but i liked them so much and wanted to share. Enjoy

Hi you've been in my links list for quite a long time but I've just rearranged them and made a special arts and "crafty" blogs list where you are centre of attention. I also mentioned you at the end of my main post on my blog today. Because your site is well worth visiting for the amazing imagery and I would advise that to anyone. My blog isn't arty like yours it's a daily journal. You're welcome to drop by to check it out. I also do two video blogs. The sneezing panda is my best clip there. Maybe I'll see you there one day? All the best to you

A great series of sand art, excellent work....

Dali is a favorite of mine also.

My last visit to the big apple, I
was able to see some great chalk
art on the sidewalk in the village.

Thank you,

My World... :)

PS... great site..

It's so nice for me to have found this blog of yours, it's so interesting. I sure hope and wish that you take courage enough to pay me a visit in my PALAVROSSAVRVS REX!, and plus get some surprise. My blog is also so cool!

Feel free off course to comment as you wish and remember: don't take it wrong, don't think that this visitation I make is a matter of more audiences for my own blogg. No. It's a matter of making universal, realy universal, all this question of bloggs, all the essential causes that bring us all together.

I think it's to UNITE MANKIND that we became bloggers! Don't see language as an obstacle. That's not the point. Pictures talk also. Open your heart and come along!!!!!

Thank you all for your kind words about this blog. Amazing art huh? The creators of these mastepieces are truly inspiring. I loved these images when i first saw them in my mailbox and i was so motivated by the artwork that i 've started a little painting class here at the city hall.

I wish i was so talented like those artists!

The Sand sculptures reminded me of a progamme called "Coast" being shown in the UK at the moment where the construction capabilities of sand from different beaches on the south coast were compared. Here i learnt a useful fact for my future sand castle building, the ideal mixture for building sand castles/sculpture is 1 part water and eight parts sand. So - go off to the beach and enjoy playing.
